Woodvale to host free Festival of Fun this weekend

CommunityMembers of the public will get a real kick out of a free family fun day being held at Devine’s Woodvale community at Burpengary this Saturday, July 26. Woodvale is celebrating the installation of new goal posts at its football oval with a big day of family fun. The event is from 10am-2pm at Lagoon Road. The highlight will be the goal-kicking competition, which everyone can enter. Other entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy will include a jumping castle, barbecue, drinks, pony rides, a bungee run, face painting, giant tea cups and free snacks. Nova FM’s Casanovas will also have giveaways. Devine Communities General Manager Andrew Brimblecombe said he was excited to unveil the new and updated park. “This park is an excellent asset to the community and residents and the greater community will have some fantastic recreational opportunities,” he said. “People can kick a ball around with their friends, relax or socialise.” He said the park was just one of the many reasons why Woodvale was in such demand and was becoming renowned for its large block and high quality, affordable home and land packages. Located just 35km north of Brisbane and 8km south of Caboolture, Woodvale has a variety of home and land packages suited to first homebuyers with prices starting from $399,900 and land from $192,900. All homes are close to major amenities such as parks, shopping, schools, transport and amenities. The community is adjacent to the Caboolture Regional Aquatic and Leisure Centre and close to shopping centres such as Morayfield Regional Shopping Centre, Caboolture Park Shopping Centre and Burpengary Plaza. Other recreational facilities nearby are the 18-hole Caboolture Golf Course and the $3.5m State Equestrian Centre at Caboolture. Schools are only minutes away including Burpengary State School, St Eugene Catholic College, Burpengary Meadows State School, Morayfield Primary School and Morayfield High School. The community is well serviced by the Bruce Highway and rail infrastructure that includes Morayfield Railway Station providing frequent services to the Brisbane CBD and Nambour. It also has easy access to Brisbane Port and the Brisbane Airports and the Pumicestone Passage is half an hour away. For more project details visit or call 13 13 63.
